PROGRAMS

The Grange strives to allow each individual the ability to reach their full potential.   Grange members often attend cultural and educational forums, political rallies and hearings, and research topics of interest to bring information to their fellow members.  Below are programs offered by the National Grange.

Community Service Programs

Community service is a vital part of the Grange, from the smallest to the largest communities and Granges, believing that there is no project “too small” to make a difference. Grange members across the nation dedicate themselves to improving their communities in countless ways.

Lecturer Programs

Welcome to the Programs and Contests within the scope of the National Lecturer (Program Director). It is my sincere wish that the Programs and Contests outlined here will provide our Granges, our members and in most cases all friends of the Grange with opportunities and ideas on how to get involved, to make a difference and to showcase talents. Let's strive to try new things, to reach and to grow, to learn from others and to seize every opportunity to make ourselves, our Granges and our communities better.

Grange/Member Programs

For more than a century, the Grange has offered programs for the whole family, local Granges and State Granges.  The Grange strives to allow each individual the ability to reach their full potential.   Grange members often attend cultural and educational forums, political rallies and hearings, and research topics of interest to bring information to their fellow members.  Below are programs offered by the National Grange.

Project Sustenance

Food security, personal sustainability and community and individual resilience: Grange programming and outreach across the nation have for generations have focused on these areas. In 2025, these efforts and innovative new projects, programs and outreach focused on these topics, will be celebrated under the banner of a “recognizable signature” program called Project Sustenance.

Communication Programs

The Communication program empowers Grange members of all ages to take an active role in sharing the #GrangeStory. This program assists with various methods of communication, including print and social media, podcasting, live streams, and more.  It produces the Good Day! magazine and the Grange Today! newsletter publications throughout the year as well as leading workshops, contests and participating in online and in-person events.

Junior Grange Programs

Junior Grange provides an opportunity for children to develop self-confidence, leadership skills, while fostering the traits of accountability, responsibility and respect for self and other. The Junior Grange programs are designed to provide opportunities for young members to take on leadership roles as they learn about parliamentary procedure and public speaking. They learn to serve on committees and have fun at the same time.

Youth & Young Adult Programs

The Grange Youth & Young Adult programs offer contests and leadership programs designed to foster a wide range of skills and abilities in which all youth and young adults can get involved.

Reaching Rural Surgical Seniors

Many rural residents are uninsured or underinsured which results in decreased access to specialty referrals in urban settings. Rural areas have fewer doctors, primary healthcare providers, and other healthcare workers.  The National Grange, as a voice for rural America since 1867, has taken on this project to disseminate vital information to our rural senior citizens concerning their pre-surgery, post-surgery and planning for your future healthcare.
