Arlington Grange #139
New Hampshire

Seeds will be used to grow flowers in the Winchester School green house and a community garden program.

 

Ashby Grange #172
Massachusetts

Working with the local library to distribute the seeds to local children as part of a summer project. There will be a gathering to sample and see what everyone has done at the end of the summer.

 

Blue Spruce Grange #574
Vermont

Started a Garden Project 19 years ago and donates the produce to the local food shelf. Each grange member picks two separate weeks between June and October to take care of the garden. Last year there was 300 pounds of produce donated.

 

Flora Juniors #10
Illinois

Give seeds to the unemployed and under-employed in Boone County.

 

Kuna Grange #59
Idaho

Educate the Boys and Girls Club on how to plant and where food really comes from.

 

Middlefield Grange #310
Massachusetts

The seeds will be used in two gardens that are one plot of land each. A Grange member of Middlefield Grange donated the plots of land. One plot will be used as a learning garden for the juniors and the other will be a Community garden for use by grange members and non-members as well. This is also to help encourage entries into the Middlefield fair.

 

Mohawk Valley Community Grange
Oregon

Seeds were donated to the local high school green house program and will be split with the grange garden. The produce will be distributed throughout the community to food banks and also as a fundraiser for the greenhouse program.

 

Mt. Nebo Grange
Pennsylvania

Seeds will be distributed to several community gardening projects in low-income neighborhoods in the City of Pittsburgh and are working with Penn State Cooperative Extension of Allegheny County.

 

Norfield Grange #146
Connecticut

Distribute seeds to the local FFA chapter to support their programs. Provide seeds to Grange members and local hobby farmers to beautify the area.

 

North Star #10
Alaska

Creating a garden at a new senior citizen facility called Raven Landing and coordinating with local schools and scout troops for possible participation.

 

Plymouth/Westland #389
Michigan

Educate the new Junior/Youth Grange by planting flowers and herbs at the city hall and the veteran memorial. This is to teach the Juniors/Youth responsibility and give them knowledge and the self-esteem to one day plant a vegetable garden. This project is also to educate them on the roots of our country and be proud of America and what they have accomplished. Made and grown in the USA.

 

Southington Grange #25
Connecticut

Adopt a garden bed at the Southington Care Centers Healing Garden and educate the long-term rehab residents in the 3 Ps’. They are working with various organizations for more beds to grow flowers, herbs, and vegetables.
