The
Ohio State Grange will cosponsor the 2004 National Property Rights Conference
which will be held on September 10-12 in Ohio by Citizens for the Protection of
Property Rights, a grassroots organization in Erie County, Ohio. Any individual
or organization concerned about property rights will be welcome.
Planned
as an answer to the many grassroots property rights organizations' need for training
and information, this conference will feature both general sessions of interest
to everyone defending their right to own and enjoy their property, as well as
breakout sessions on over a dozen specific topics. The topics include Grazing
and Water Rights, Conservation Easements, Eminent Domain, Federal Indian Policy,
Inholder Lands, Reversionary Rights & "Rails-to-Trails" and Submerged Lands &
Coastal Zones. In addition to the legal topics there will be "how-to" topics as
well such as Grantsmanship & Fundraising, Grassroots Organizing, Internet Activism,
Lobbying & Political Activism, etc. PLEASE
