The National Grange and the Ohio State Grange are helping cosponsor the 2004 National
Property Rights Conference which will be held on April 16-18 in Ohio by Citizens
for the Protection of Property Rights, a grassroots organization in Erie County,
Ohio. This nation-wide Conference will be a great opportunity to network and learn
the latest property rights issues with wonderful workshops and speakers. Any individual
or organization concerned about property rights will be welcome. The
workshops will address varied issues such as Conservation Easements, Eminent Domain,
Endangered Species Act, Federal Indian Policy, Inholder Lands, National Heritage
Areas, Reversionary Rights & "Rails-to-Trails" and Submerged Lands & Coastal Zones.
In addition to the legal topics there will be "how-to" topics as well such as
Grantsmanship & Fundraising, Grassroots Organizing, Internet Activism, Lobbying
& Political Activism, etc.
