Caroline
Hall T.L.C. Recognition Project |
Purpose: To recognize Grange members and Granges who have ‘heart’. Granges or Grangers, who select a charity, raise funds and report will receive a certificate of Recognition. The charity could be a local charity, a national charity, a special project in your state, a benefit for someone in your community, just to name a few.
We want to encourage Grangers to increase their awareness and concern for others and create opportunities for teamwork and fellowship.
Some fundraising ideas include: Bowl A Thon, Ski a thon, Race for... Carnival, Raffles, Pie Auction, Silent Auction, Dance a thon, ornament contest and auction, walk for Life events, 5k/ Walk/run events, bake sales, benefit dinners, dances, auctions, yard sales, craft sales, etc. Let your imagination and your individual community be your guide for this effort.
When planning an event try including people directly affected, especially if the charity has national recognition.
A fantastic display could be created if all the charities Granges help throughout of year were reported and sent it. Pictures, charity brochures, flyers and other advertisement would really add to the display. You’d be sharing ideas, raising awareness, and showing you have “heart”.
Send a description of what you did and who benefited to the National Grange Youth Development Director, Cindy Greer, 7629 C.R. 100, Hesperus, CO 81326 by October 15 for recognition at the National Convention .
