The National Grange Grow Club is offering one scholarship of $300.00 to assist in the educational expenses of Grange members. Applicant must be planning to enroll or be enrolled in an accredited College, University or Trade School within 12 months of receiving the scholarship. Applications are due September 1.
Applicants will be asked to explain briefly how they got started in the Grange and how their involvement has developed over the years. They will be asked to list a minimum of 8 activities they have participated in. Applicants must provide a list of eight major non-Grange activities and accomplishments achieved that were helpful in making you a more involved and contributing individual to your school and community. These activities may include class offices, extracurricular student activities, etc. Applicants will be asked to share their long-range goals for school, employment, and life-and describe what specific skills and personal values you want to foster in yourself to achieve those ends and how their experiences in the Grange will benefit their future.
Three letters of recommendation are required for application. One from your Subordinate Grange, one from your State Grange Master and one from a source other than a relative.
Finalists will be notified by October 1. Winners of all scholarships will be announced at the National G.R.O.W. Club Luncheon at the National Grange Convention. A check for the amount of scholarship will be issued for that school term/year to the institution.
