Joe Fryman was born, raised, educated, and presently lives near Blair, Nebraska.  He grew up on the family farm, producing corn, soybeans, oats, alfalfa, and hogs. His family milked Jersey cows for many years. Joe graduated from Dana Collegein Blair in 1970 with a degree in accounting and economics. He was a member of the Army Reserve, trained as a radio repairman and as a drill sergeant. Joe served on the Washington County ASCS County Committee for nine years and on the Blair Community School Board for twenty years.Joe married Tammy Christensen in 1971. Tammy served as National Grange Flora from 2005 through 2007. They have two daughters, Erin Ring and Laura Jackson, and one son Matthew along with two granddaughters, Hailey Jackson and Lanea Jackson. They presently raise corn and soybeans on their family farm. A prenuptial agreement eliminated the dairy portion of the farming operation. Joe  also was an income tax preparer for thirty years. The Frymans are members of First Lutheran Church in Blair where Joe served on the church council and as Congregational president. They joined Riverview Grange in 1974. Joe was elected Nebraska State Grange Master in 2004, National Grange Treasurer in 2007, and National Grange Executive Committee member in 2009.  He enjoys traveling, restoring old tractors and cars, crossword puzzles, and reading farm magazines.
