March 25, 2004 - Members from Granges throughout Pennsylvania, along with
Pennsylvania State Grange President Betsy Huber, Pennsylvania State Grange Legislative
Director Brenda Shambaugh and National Grange President William Steel lunched
with members of the Pennsylvania U.S. Congressional team today. The luncheon provided
Grange members with the opportunity to voice their political concerns, including
issues presented in the Grange's Blueprint for Rural America 2004, to their district's
U.S. representatives and state senators.
In
attendance were: U.S. House Representatives Curt Weldon, Todd Platts, Tim Holden,
Jim Gerlach Don Sherwood and John Peterson, as well as U.S. Senator Arlen Specter.
