Bring a New Toy to Convention!
The
New York Junior Grange is holding a toy drive for The Pirate Toy Fund, www.piratetoyfund.org.
The Pirate Toy Fund's mission is to provide toys for children in need in the Rochester
area. The Pirate Toy Fund will give out about 10, 000 toys this year alone. All
hospitalized children in the  Rochester
area (including Lakeside in Brockport, Noyes in Dansville and Livingston Health
Services in Geneseo) will be given toys. The Pirate Toy Fund also works in conjunction
with the American Red Cross to reach disaster victims and with Saint's Place in
Pittsford to help children of international refugees. Monroe County Foster Care
Pediatric Practice, Alternatives for Battered Women, Bethany House, Women's Place,
Sanctuary House and the Rochester City Fire Department also benefit from the Pirate
Toy Fund. The Pirate Toy Fund was founded by Rochester native and local children's
entertainer, Gary the Happy Pirate - who will be performing at the convention
on Saturday! |
