Celebrating the Responsibility of Citizenship!
Fly-In attendees will have the unique opportunity to meet with their elected representatives in Congress and their staff to discuss the issues facing our nation today.
In preparation for these meetings, experts from all over Washington will brief Grangers on relevant issues that are having an impact on the Grange, rural America and local communities all over the country. Issues include:
- 2013 Farm Bill & what it means for American agriculture
- Reform of the United States Postal Service
- Broadband expansion & the obstacles it faces in 2013
Attending Grangers will also be treated to a luncheon at the historical Press Club. Founded in 1908, The National Press Club has hosted a multitude of leaders in government, politics, business, music, art, and sports. Also known as “the Place Where News Happens,” the Press Club and its over 3,500 members are dedicated to the improvement of journalism all over the world. Join us as we visit this most historic landmark.
